![]() Thus far, my narrowed down list are these: I know with oil they're more focused on layering rather than blending or "smooshing" with wax, but having no experience with this I'm not sure my preference. I've never used oil heavy pencils so I'm not sure if I might prefer them over wax heavy, and that's part of my reasoning for not knowing which to choose. I would rather not pay over $40, but I am tempted to just throw some extra money in and go ahead and get Prismacolors and just call it a day, but I've seen a lot of complaints about them being overhyped and praise for the other options as well. I'm planning to learn blending and other skills, so I would like pencils that have the capacity for performing reasonably well.Ĭurrently I've rather narrowed down my options from watching (tons of) reviews, but I'm still not sure what to go with. I would like something I suppose of middling price and quality that could grow with me, so I wouldn't have to invest in more expensive pencils until I feel I've reached a space that necessitates it. I'm really looking forward to a better quality pencil that will lay down smoother and have a better opportunity for learning skills. Thus far I've only used Crayola and I also have some watercolor pencils, but that's about it. ![]() ![]() I'm probably somewhere around beginner, though I've dabbled off and on throughout the years. I'm primarily interested in using them for adult coloring books, but I'm also trying to learn how to nature journal and draw better, so I may move outside of that. It's been two days of research and I'm still caught up in not knowing which to go with and I really want to just. Please help me choose which colored pencils to buy.
